The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment.  talking to  vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles.  best automatic vacuum  can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. rugs.

This device is expensive but has many smart features. It's crucial to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. These include an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture a large amount of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was beginning and working towards its goal.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the necessity to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it also has unique features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
